The controller is Solarpunk Horizons Inc., 429 McWilliams Ave SE, Atlanta, GA 30316, United States. For privacy questions, access requests, corrections, objections, or complaints, write to hello@wakewire.ai. Wakewire accepts accounts from readers in the UK and EU.

Account data includes your email address, password hash, and, if provided, your display name. If you use Google sign-in, we receive the account email, name, and avatar supplied by Google, not your Google password.

Profile data includes the topics you select, optional learning preferences, terms acceptance, and source requests you submit for Wakewire to review. A source request is a request for consideration, not a promise that the source will be added to your personal feed.

Reading data includes the brief and chapters you open, approximate dwell time, and the relevance scores used to order your personal brief. We also receive operational data such as browser, device, IP-derived security signals, request logs, and error information when needed to operate and protect the service.

• Contract: create and secure your account, deliver the briefing, apply your topic preferences, process deletion, and respond to account requests.
• Legitimate interests: prevent abuse, debug failures, keep the service reliable, improve editorial quality, and measure aggregate product use.
• Consent: optional Google Analytics and the WorkBus attribution pixel. You can decline or withdraw optional measurement at any time.
• Legal obligation: retain or disclose information where applicable law requires it, and handle rights or safety requests.

Optional Google Analytics 4 and the first-party WorkBus pixel are held behind the cookie choice. Google Consent Mode starts analytics and advertising storage denied. If you decline, Wakewire does not intentionally send optional analytics or attribution events. Necessary hosting and security technologies may still operate, including Cloudflare's __cf_bm bot-management cookie when Cloudflare applies it. That cookie is used for security and is not an advertising profile.

Analytics events may include a page, funnel milestone, broad interaction, or source-request action. We do not use these events to make legal, credit, employment, housing, or insurance decisions about you.

We use infrastructure and service providers for cloud hosting, authentication, database and storage operations, email delivery, analytics, error monitoring, attribution, and language-model processing. Providers receive only the data needed for their service. Language-model processing is used for brief and podcast analysis content, not your account email or reading-history identity. WorkBus is our first-party analytics and attribution service.

Some providers may process data in the United States or another country outside the UK or EU. Where a transfer is required, we use the safeguards available under applicable law, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses where appropriate.

We keep account and profile data while your account is active. Reading history and ranking data are kept while needed to order your brief and support Wakewire Learn. Source requests remain while they are useful for review and service records. Consent records and security/audit records are kept for as long as needed to demonstrate choices, investigate abuse, or meet legal obligations. Operational logs are rotated according to operational need. Backups may retain deleted data until their normal expiry, after which it is removed or overwritten.

You can delete your account from Settings. Deletion removes the account profile, topic preferences, source requests, reading history, and associated account data, subject to limited records we must retain for security, legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention reasons.

You can change topics and learning settings, submit or withdraw a source request where available, change your cookie choice, unsubscribe from non-transactional daily or product email, and delete your account. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, restrict, or object to processing, and to withdraw consent without affecting earlier processing.

Email hello@wakewire.ai from the address on the account. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. Transactional account, security, and legally required messages may still be sent after marketing preferences change.

Wakewire is not for people under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data, and we delete accounts we learn belong to them.
