About Wakewire

You picked your sources carefully. Then life happened. The podcast queue grew. The newsletters piled up. The subscription list became a guilt list.

Wakewire is one person's fix that got out of hand. Every morning it reads everything I follow, pulls out what matters, and writes a brief I can finish before the coffee is done. No infinite feed. No engagement tricks. It ends, on purpose.

Summarizing is easy now. Anything can do it. What is hard is knowing whether a quote is real. Every quote is matched to an offset in the original text, so you can check it yourself rather than take our word for it, and the live numbers behind that are published whether they flatter us or not.

Signups are open and free. Create an account and pick your topics. If there is a source you want Wakewire to consider, send us a request from Settings.

Thank you for your patience,
Your Wakewire Team

The podcast desk

Podcasts get the same treatment as articles, which means they get read rather than recapped. Wakewire transcribes the episodes it follows and publishes what was said, the register it was said in, whose affiliations were stated on the recording, and what the episode never addressed. Every sponsor named aloud is recorded with where in the episode it ran and whether a disclosure was actually stated — taken from the recording, never inferred from anything outside it.
